How does it work? Everyone everywhere can join the global conversation for World Environment Day. You just have to add the #WorldEnvironmentDay or #WED2014 hashtag to your messages. If you can, schedule all your messages in advance. How long will the marathon last? The goal is to cover all countries all over the world, so it will last around 48 hours, from the 4th to the 6th of June. Our advice: Set up all your messages in those 48 hours every 30 minutes – 1 hour. What is a tweet? A tweet is a 140 characters message that you send via Twitter. Don´t forget that you can include pictures in your tweet to make it more attractive. You can use tools as http://bitly.com/ to shorten your links or https://bufferapp.com to include the pictures on your posts. And don’t forget the hashtags #WorldEnvironmentDay or #WED2014 Who can participate? Anyone, anywhere! Not only individuals, but also schools and organizations. This year World Environment Day is about #islands2014 and climate change and how we are all connected. The challenges of the islands are the challenges of all of us.
